The best way to shop the New River Gorge is with a hop, skip and a jump.
In Ansted, hop between the award-winning salsa and gifts shop to an antique shop and then on to the art gallery.
Skip on over to Fayetteville to check out arts and crafts, specialized gifts, photography and outdoor equipment, at shops all on Court Street.
Then jump to Oak Hill for more antiques and gifts shops and a turn around the shopping center for anything you left at home and know you need.
Every whitewater outfitter offers souvenirs – t-shirts, hats, videos and more – while the area surrounding the towns has its share of small shops, galleries and antique stores.
